Does it make you think they’re trying too hard? They were members of Shinto/Zen/Hinduism/Buddhism before, and bam, 2 months after immigration they’re some sect of christianity or the other.
Are we really a culture melting pot? Or are we pressuring these people to change?

i was thinking abiut it before,but what stoped me was my fathers strict religious islamic views, but that has never been me,i was the total opposite,but now im liking the look of buddhism..if i did convert would i have to give up things i desire etc? thx for help

i am an atheist but the more i learn about Buddhism the more i want to follow it. i believe Buddhism would be the perfect religion for me as it teaches moral standings and the right way to live your life without the fear of hell and god. the teachings of the Buddha have probably affected me and impacted on me more than any other religion. i also believe it is open enough so that i can celebrate my mums religious holidays and ,if my children decided they’d rather follow a different religion, theirs as well.
